These steps are for GCI customer's on GCI's "black" labeled SIM card. You must have converted your phone from the old GCI (Dobson/AT&T) network to GCI's (Truely GCI's) new network.

New Voicemail Instructions for Converted GCI Customers

Customers with Black Labeled SIM Card

  1. Accessing the new Voicemail system:
    • From your converted GCI handset
      • Press and hold the number "1" on the keypad until it dials into the new Voicemail system.
      • Or dial 444-0068 from your wireless (cellular) phone to access the new Voicemail system.
    • You may also use a landline to setup your voicemail by dialing your wireless (cellular) number, then press the * during the outgoing message to stat the set-up process.
  2. If prompted for a pass code, enter the last five (5) digits of your wireless (cellular) phone number.
    • Example if your phone number is 9075551234, your pass code is 51234
  3. Create new pass code of your choosing. The new number needs to be between four (4) and 15 digits.
  4. Select the style of voice greeting. You will be asked to record your name and personalized greeting message if you choose not to use the default message.
  5. Any stored messages will be played after the initial settings are completed.
  6. The new Voicemail system will provide instructions while navigating the different levels/menus.
    • Here are the main menus shortcuts to use after entering your password:
      • Press 1 - listen to new voicemail messages
      • After listening to the message(s) press:
        • 1 = to replay message
        • 5 = date and time stamp of the message
        • 7 = delete message
        • 9 = save message
        • # = skip to next message
