About UAA Streaming Hockey on MyGCI

GCI and the University of Alaska Anchorage have teamed up to bring you the 2008-2009 Seawolves hockey season games, live via streaming video over the Internet. In addition, GCI will archive past games and make them available for on demand viewing.

Are there any viewing restrictions? We are required to restrict access to some games played outside of Alaska. GCI does not have the legal rights to distribute these games and apologize for any inconvenience.

Are there any games that will not be streamed? Yes. Occasionally the Seawolves play in a region that is unable to provide GCI with a feed of the game. Those games have been precluded from the streaming schedule listed on the MyGCI website.

How much does it cost? This service is free thanks to our 2008-2009 hockey site sponsors.

What are the technical requirements? You will need a broadband Internet connection with 512 kbps download speed or higher. You'll also need to download Real Player, if you do not have it already installed.

Some users may find that their network speed is not suited for viewing streaming video. GCI cannot guarantee the quality of streaming video to individual systems.

What if I missed the game? No problem! GCI will provide ON-DEMAND access to all the games so you can view them later. All archived game footage will be updated within 72 hours of the last game airing.

What if I meet the requirements but am unable to access the games? For technical assistance or to upgrade your services, visit the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page.
